New American Welcome Center

New American Welcome Center (NAWC) is a program that provides a welcoming safe space and targets newcomer immigrants with direct and referral services as well as social supports to enable them to become more integrated and engaged in the greater society. This program helps all our community members bond to each other and their newfound community. 

Since 2016, The NAWC program has provided direct social and immigration services to over 1,600 newcomer immigrants. The program aims to improve participant’s immigration status, family / self sufficiency, leadership skills, providing services such as social service access and navigation, education, healthcare, housing, leadership training, job placement, VAWA, U-visa, DACA and Adjustment of Status for Refugees and Asylees. We also work with complex naturalization cases for immigrants who have physical or developmental disabilities and we provide mental health education services.
